 Job Description 

This role is centered in Manipal Hospital, Yelahanka, Bengaluru and is responsible for the safe and effective use of medications in the hospital pharmacy. As a Senior Pharmacist you will be responsible for the pharmacy functions and review of drug prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day to day activities of the pharmaceutical department.

  • Collaborate with doctors and other health care providers to help manage drugs.

  • Monitor patient’s response to medicine and change plans as necessary.

  • Ensure all pharmacy activities are compliant with pharmacy rules, health and safety standards and hospital policies.

  • Assisting pharmacists and other pharmacy personnel.

  • Participate in quality assurance activities and projects on pharmaceutical safety.

  • Maintain records and documentation as required by rule.

  • Learning and improvement to support pharmacy team’s professional development.

 Educational Qualification 

  • B. Pharm or any other equivalent degree in Pharmacy.

  • Valid pharmacist license in compliance with applicable state or regional standards.

 Required Skills 

  • Good awareness of pharmacology, therapeutics and medication interactions.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to deal with patients and health care teams.

  • Knowledge of pharmacy administration software, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

  • Understanding of drug safety principles and practices.
